Shelter or Rescued Dogs
At least 50% of all of our Bootcamp Graduates are Rescued Dogs.
I realize how difficult it can be to deal with a dog that you have no history
on.
Rescue dogs have a unique set of challenges.
We usually don't know their history, some have been traumatized
and some are scared.
The first 30 days are critical because that is when your new rescue dog is in critical need
of stability.
Consistency is also very important for a rescue dog since most have had a very inconsistent
life up to this point.
I can teach you exercises to build confidence in the dog as well as build trust
between you and your new dog.
Sending your rescue dog to Bootcamp right away accomplishes many positive things:
1. He learns to calm down and pay attention.
3. He learns basic manners -
For example: how to greet people at the door, to go lay down and be good, walk on a leash
without pulling or tugging, no jumping, ect.
4. ignore distraction
I then teach you how to fair, consistent, calm and assertive.
